   The Abomasnow has little luck, but works hard to achieve his goals. He isn't particularly intelligent when it comes to philosophy or fine sciences and the like. In everyday situations, Shesh has the combined grace, poise, and tact as that of the elusive Magikarp. He can seem surprisingly oblivious or even air-headed at first glance, due to a tendency to focus on only a few things at a time (his concentration is incredibly hard to break at times... or hard to capture).  He also tends to be very blunt in certain moments, even unwittingly so. However, Shesh has gathered a range of various cultural knowledge from his travels.

     However many faults he has or how much he lacks in formal education, he's always been very curious and intrigued with many different things at once, and loves to learn - most often through experience, thus his affinity for travel. Additionally, he tries his best to listen and be very polite-- a habit he developed through meeting a variety of peoples. He enjoys using his experiences and gathered know-how to help others, should the need arise.

History:

Shesh was born into a very rural, mountainous, almost arctic-like area in a small village. Because his mother left to find work after the death of her husband while Shesh was a toddler, the young Snover was raised by his Aunt (a Snorunt) and older cousin (a Delibird), with whom he was very close. He was a very quiet child, even rather naive, but nevertheless got along well with the other villagers in the tight-knit community.

Growing up, Shesh's home village was almost completely cut off from the rest of the world by the mountain ranges. It's rural way of life focused on fishing and herding pokemon such as Mamoswines. Such work took quite a lot of effort with little pay, but instilled in him a strong work ethic. By the time he was in his early teens, Shesh was searching for all the work he could to help his aunt who found herself with cheap, unstable jobs and working tirelessly in order to keep up their small home after Shesh's cousin left to pursue his studies in larger cities.

Thus, the Abomasnow never really had time to focus on his studies much-- though he was home-schooled throughout basic education. However, his specialized knowledge gathered throughout his odd jobs around the village made him a fairly skilled handyman, especially when it came to impromptu problem-solving. As he got older, Shesh became pretty useful to have around, specifically with the older workers that had trouble with a few of the more particular tasks their occupations required.

Unfortunately, Shesh's home was a dying one. Every month, it seemed, more and more people were leaving-- not enough money, health too poor to support such heavy work, fish growing more scarce, etc. Most people in the village had left by the time the Abomasnow was around 17 or so, leaving their histories and run-down homes for big cities towards factory and mining work. As much as he was fond of the old place, Shesh realized that an empty mountaintop was a more melancholy than productive place for a person to spend their life. Even then, though, he had barely resources to leave the place without simply hitchhiking, and to add onto that, nowhere to go. 

However, he knew that he would eventually have no choice but to leave-- and if he waited much longer, he would most likely end up dragged into the overcrowded cities in a frantic search for a job that would no doubt require education he didn't possess/couldn't afford. So he decided, while he had the chance, to see a world he knew stretched far beyond their mountain hideaway. A bit cliche, perhaps, but he didn't particularly care. Backpack ready and a pipe in his teeth, Shesh set off to feed his curiosity about the rest of the world just after he turned 18, wandering wherever he could.

From that point on Shesh arrived at countless places around the world, meeting just as many people and learning just as many things. He most often traveled simply by walking or hitchhiking in some way or another, and a good part of the time he earned food and supplies by doing odd jobs for the people he met (washing inn dishes, helping on fishing boats, etc.) or even making trinkets or carving gifts for people who asked-- a skill he learned from his aunt as a child. After every place he would visit and adventure in, he would only have more marvelous stories to tell to whichever group of folks he met next. As much as he had learned in his homeland, the young man gathered even more knowledge about the world and the people residing in it, and his already deep curiosity and love of adventure only grew the longer he wandered.

Recently, on another one of his many escapades, Shesh met an old Beartic who'd arrived only a few days before, and the two became fast friends. The old man revealed he wandered the world for most of the year and had a strange little shop (located in an obscure archipelago) he tended to neglect in favor of travel. Shesh told of his intense curiosity about town life that had only been growing in his more recent travels, many of the places he'd visited having reminded him of his own long lost home, and his questions concerning whether or not a quiet life was even possible after so long and with so many small towns dying off. This delighted the Beartic completely, much to Shesh's surprise, and he asked the young traveler if he'd be interested in looking after the old forgotten store on his behalf. Intrigued by the idea of the strange islands, the Abomasnow agreed and set off for Raccolto soon afterwards after accepting a ferry ticket from his strange friend.

It's been a bit of a culture-shock for Shesh, as he hasn't stayed in one place for more than a few weeks since he'd left the village. However, he's determined to get the run-down shack of a store back in order and learn as much as he can about the islands and the inhabitants now surrounding him. Surely, for him, it's seeming just another kind of adventure.
